This is a women’s only professional tennis tournament held annually in Charleston. Starting in the early 70’s, a time of uncertainty, the tournament was a way to grow women’s tennis and gain recognition. The tournament is considered a world-class event and attracts some of the top competitors in the sport. Another feature of the Credit One Open is that fans can participate by volunteering to assist with the tournament or the ball crew. The Credit One Open has become one of Charleston’s most exciting events.

If you’re looking for some fresh snacks or ingredients for a meal, then you’ll find the Charleston Farmers Market in Marion Square – right in the heart of the downtown Historic District. The market is open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and runs from April to November. There’s no admission fee and there’s plenty of parking on the street or at nearby lots. It’s worth checking out as the market hosts a lot of vendors for food, handmade crafts, jewelry and art. So stop by and support some local vendors.
