We really enjoyed our stay here, especially with the close proximity to the beach access. It was such a short walk with pretty trees. There’s a wash area outside the house where you can clean off all the beach sand and avoid tracking it into the house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils and pans/pots that we were able to find everything we needed for all our home cooked meals. Overall it was the perfect house for us, and Sam was a wonderful host!

Nice, relaxing, accommodating, peaceful location with a very short walk to the beach, a great view of the fish jumping in the pond, the geese taking a breather and the herons perching in the trees behind the house. The house itself was very clean and comfortable with most everything provided, including a dog (or child) gate for if needed. Sam, the host, is an excellent communicator and doesn't leave any stones unturned including friendly reminders the day of check-in and the night before check-out. He also provided recommendations for food, entertainment, and activities in the immediate area. We had an amazing trip and would definitely recommend to others!!

Amazing proximity to beach access...note the access is about 8 stairs up and the 8 stairs down to the beach. There is accessible access around the corner for anyone with mobility issues. Sam was super responsive to all questions. Communication and check-in were smooth. When we called about one issue, he replied in minutes and was onsite within an hour to fix it. Excellent customer service. This was my 2nd stay at a Rathershacks and the quality/service has been consistent. I would not hesitate to stay at any Rathershacks property. Thanks Sam!

The location of the house is great! Really close to the beach, which we found to be less busy than other beaches in Folly especially near the downtown. The evening view of the pond is great and relaxing. Also, Sam was courteous and responsive. Definitely recommended.

Excellent location, low key house. By no means rustic, but definitely minimum frills. Amazing walk down the street to a great beach. Great recommendations from the host and a clean house near the beach. Not much more you can ask for.

We had a wonderful stay at the sunset shack on FollyBeach! It was absolutely delightful to have a backyard for our dog. We enjoyed bbq on the grill and the short walk to the beach. We used the wake broad in the garage even thou it was winter. We had the most wonderful non holiday holiday ever! We will be back!

Nice host that responded quickly to all communications and made the process very easy. The fenced in back yard was a big plus as was the short distance to the beach and town. The town and wide choice of restaurants was a pleasant surprise as we were expecting to be driving into Charleston for good dinning. Thanks very much, we will likely be back to the island in March-April.

Myself and 4 friends rented this house for a week in Nov 2021. Sam and Katt do a great job of clearly explaining all about the house and proximity to the beach. The walk to the beach is so easy and short that we enjoyed the beach at all hours of the day….sunrises, watching the many surfers, walking on the beach at night and seeing the crabs running around. Just great fun. We used the beach chairs and towels that were provided. We did see some dolphins. This house is in a great established neighborhood. We used the kitchen to make a few breakfasts and dinners. We biked and drove all around the island. To us the East side of Folly - with the many beautiful trees and unique houses was our favorite. I brought my dog and it was perfect. I could let her out the back/front door and she would just hang out and watch the birds and enjoy the sun. I appreciate the poop bags/trash can outside. It made for quick/easy clean up. We rented bikes from Matty at Cool Breeze bikes and he dropped off / picked up. He takes cash only. Great guy. I would return and will suggest this house to others.

The place was very clean and Sam communicated very well. There's convenient beach access right down the road! Its a little less than 2 miles from the main strip with shops and restaurants so it was a great location. No complaints- it was a great stay!

Ok Travelers, Absolutely perfect location, 10 stars! Bird watching in the backyard was spectacular!!! You're in Funky Folly Beach, but...in this Dog friendly home, it is so quiet, peaceful and it was just wonderful for my Grandson (17 months). Landon had the time of his life during the entire experience, (except sleep;/) indoor and out. The beach across is 1 minute if you run. The beauty of the foliage makes it the best access to the Atlantic. I loved the comfortable bed in the master. The antique dresser was so unique! The house really suited our needs. We had a really great time. You'll be pleasantly pleased.

Had a great time. Location is perfect. Very quiet street, but still close enough to shops and restaurants. The beach is so close!!!! Very short walk, even with three kids. Also a great launching point to see sites in Charleston like Patriots Point. We noticed, after booking, that the rental was pet friendly. We were worried because we don't have pets AND our kids have allergies. But it was so clean, you would have never known any pets were ever there. Kids had no allergy issues at all. One of our best trips ever!!!!
