Sam was a great host and the Tabbyshack was everything we could have hoped for! The back screened in porch is perfect for early mornings or dinners with friends! Just a short walk to the beach made for easy beach days! Would 100% stay here again!

The house was wonderful. Very quick walk to the beach. Everything was well labeled. There were beach towels and chairs to use which was great. The water went out in the town the morning of check out, at no fault of the house, but other than that it was a really great stay, would stay again!

We've stayed at a lot of places on Folly, and this is one of our favorite places. Not only was Sam a fabulous host, but the location is so nice and private, and the beach access is perfect and not crowded even on a "crowded" day. It's also a great part of Folly if you like to surf or visit Morris Island. We had a golf cart, which was nice if we wanted to hop down to Bert's or hit the shops or restaurants, but we really appreciated the quieter side of Folly. The beach house was quite charming. It had all we needed to make our stay pleasant as we were traveling from out of state and didn't bring all things like beach towels, chairs, etc. The house was stocked with all the amenities. We had three generations, the grands, the parents, and the kids (teen & tween), and we all left feeling really happy and relaxed from a week in the Carolina salty air. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic place to spend the week. Close enough to the beach to be very convenient but also tucked away in a private space. Plenty of large, peaceful common areas. Even included some beach necessities… chairs, towels, umbrella, etc. Sam was a fantastic and very communicative host. Everything was amazing. Only regret is waiting until the end of the week to utilize the outdoor shower!!

The TabbyShack was an excellent place for our family of 5 to spend a week. There was plenty of room for all of us and the location is amazing. We loved having our coffee on the back porch - the view is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Came here for a bachelorette and it was perfect. The house is exactly as pictured and so great, the screened in porch was a picturesque place to unwind. The house was conveniently located for beach access and not far from the restaurants in town, it’s easier to get around if you have a vehicle but there is limited parking by the restaurants and shops. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We hope to stay here again!

As a single mom traveling with kids it is always awesome to find a space that feels completely comfortable day or night. Tabby shack was perfect for us! Super clean and comfortable space, the screened in porch was perfect for evenings and early morning coffee, two bathrooms, and a great outdoor space with shower. The kitchen is amazing, but you definitely need to bring all the food you’ll need if you are cooking, aside from a few spices there are no other provisions in house. It’s close to all the restaurants and stores in town (we loved Bert’s Market), less than two blocks from the beach but on a dead end street in a quiet friendly neighborhood. The beach is beautiful and it is far enough down the coast from town that it’s relatively quiet, we had an entire afternoon to ourselves. The hosts left a great list of places to go and things to do as well as very clear directions for checking in and out. Tabby shack is a space we will definitely keep on the radar for a return visit.

This is a great base for enjoying Folly Beach. Super close walk to a beautiful beach, pier, and nice restaurants in Folly Beach. It is close enough you can hear the surf. Unit is very light and airy, with many doors and windows can be opened to let in the air (though when we were there it was unseasonably cold so, nope!) Reasonable 20 minute drive to Charleston. Everything is clean including nice linens . Kitchen serviceable for basic meals. Keep in mind there is no washer / dryer on site but there is a coinop down the street where you can do a load while eating brunch at the lost dog 3 mins away by foot. Sam was super responsive by text and made sure our stay was smooth. Appreciate the flexibility on check out.

This is a solid place. The host was great, very communicative and helpful. Easy check-in. This is definitely a "good weather house"- the rooms are kinda small and there's no indoor dining table. Lots of good deck and outdoor space. Kitchen is really nice. Location is very good- especially if you like to surf when there's a swell as it's super close to good surf beach. Overall, it's a good spot.

We had a wonderful time and the home as very comfortable. The beds were great and we loved the screened in porch for morning coffee! Everyone had enough space and the walk to the beach wasn’t too far away. Overall our stay was pretty great!

Absolutely fantastic home. Perfect location in a friendly beach neighborhood. Sam was amazing from the get go. He checked on us throughout the stay. We didn’t need to call him for anything because he was one step ahead of us. The house is very clean. It literally had everything we need and more. My teenage daughter (Floridian all the way) got cold one evening because it was 55 degrees outside, I found a space heater in a small storage room. It was incredible for me to find out that my kids didn’t know what it was.! My point is the house has everything you need. Even a grill and grill utensils!! All the utilities worked. Internet access fast, he even has a second router to reach all areas of the house.  Plenty of beach towels and chairs. I also have to mention Jennie from next door. The coolest cat ever. She climbs up the stairs to say hi to everyone. Lastly, coming from South Florida , we found Folly Beach and Charleston to be an incredibly friendly place. We loved it. Good luck.

Wonderful stay on Folly! This house was perfect for a comfy and cozy visit to Folly Beach! Loved the boho decor and the amazing open concept kitchen, very modern and very clean, along with comfy beds and lots of plush beach towels. We also loved feeling like we were in a hip treehouse with great views! This is a keeper on our list!

TabbyShack was amazing! We had such a great vacation at Folly Beach staying at this rental. The house was set up perfectly to have a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stock, everything was wonderful. The house was on a quiet street with an awesome driveway. If you have ever been to Folly before you will understand why having a driveway is notable. The house was a very short walk to a wonderful beach, short drive to check out the lighthouse, and a short drive to shopping, playground, and restaurants. We would love to stay at Tabby Shack again in the future!

The TabbyShack was perfect for our group! Sam was a great host and responded to all my questions quickly and thoroughly. The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable which is EXTREMELY important to me. It is an easy, 3 minute (tops) walk to the beach but my favorite spot of all was the screened porch. I could have sat there the entire time. This was a much needed vacation at the perfect spot!

The house is in a great location to the beach...easy walk and we also got a golf cart to get around the island. The owner is extremely responsive. The layout of the house is fun and easy-could use an indoor table to sit and eat but that isn't a big problem. Basically, this house has been well used and needs a very good cleaning/painting/rehab in the kitchen and bathrooms. What you can't see in the photos is that there is real wear and tear and the exterior needs also needs a good power wash and paint job as well. It wasn't dirty per se but it is time to reinvest in the home.
